Frida Kahlo loved to wear Pre-Columbian Aztec jewelry, many pieces made from a material called 'greenstone'; and her husband, Diego Rivera, loved seeing her wear it! This necklace is of the style featured in several photographs of Frida as well as at least two of her own paintings.
