"Garden of Eden"                                                          ~ NFS ~

"Garden of Eden" is based on the skeletons found in vintage anatomical illustrations of the human body. The skeleton strikes a rakish pose as he leans on his cane. He stands in the Garden of Eden where the plants surrounding him are lush and vibrant. Again, this composition blends the living with the dead; does the skeleton belong in the Garden, or is he an interloper?

Rendered in watercolor pencil & India ink on canvas, Garden of Eden's details are difficult to capture in photographs . The clear poly-acrylic topcoat gives the finish a 'plasticized' look. A bold and stunning, beautifully framed piece!
